Campers in the Woods

About Us

In 1998, Jimmy Sheehan picked up his first saw and put on his first saddle to cut trees out in the San Juan Islands, Washington state.  From there his love of arborculture took root and gradually he worked his way back East to his home state of Connecticut.  In 2003, Jimmy opened Sheehan Tree Removal and was greatly assisted by his twin brother, Tommy.

Life is a journey!  Since then he has worked as a Climbing Arborist for the National Park Service as well as a Chainsaw Safety Instructor for the National Parks and the Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission.

He became a Certified Tree Safety Professional, a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert, an Assistant Coordinator for the Arborist Incident Response Team and a Wildland Faller working on several wildfires out West.  Through it all he has remained a Connecticut Certified Arborist.

Though all good experiences, his favorite remains the opportunity to run Sheehan Tree Removal.  After taking a break from the business in 2012, he is back at it, loving the freedom of doing quality work and taking good care of his customers.

Today, Jimmy runs Sheehan Tree Removal with his wife, Maria.  They are blessed with 6 wonderful children and love living in the woods of

East Hampton, Connecticut.
